1st Gas Giveaway

OVERVIEW

On June 20, 2026, The Williams Way Foundation proudly hosted its 1st Community Gas Giveaway in Pontiac, Michigan, bringing together organizations, businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and residents with one shared purpose: serving our community. Through the generosity and financial investment of The Williams Way Foundation, in partnership with Willistics LLC and Thorne Development, whose financial investments helped make this initiative possible, and with the sponsorship of Anter Mohamed, owner of Mobil Pontiac, the initiative provided over $5,000 in gas assistance, served more than 220 vehicles, impacted approximately 200 families, and distributed 300 meals to community members.

What began as a vision to help families facing rising transportation costs became a powerful demonstration of what can be accomplished through collaboration and community investment. Volunteers worked together throughout the day to welcome residents, coordinate traffic, distribute fuel assistance, and serve meals in a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.

This initiative was made possible through the generosity of organizations, businesses, sponsors, volunteers, donors, and community supporters who believed in investing directly into the Pontiac community. We extend our sincere appreciation to Willistics LLC, Thorne Development, Anter Mohamed and Mobil Pontiac, every volunteer, and every supporter who helped make this event a success.

This event marked the beginning of The Williams Way Foundation's commitment to creating lasting community impact through service, collaboration, and meaningful action. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to strengthen communities, support families, and create opportunities for years to come.
